BILT Rewards, purveyor of head-scratchingly generous points offers, just rolled out another one: effective immediately, BILT members will earn up to 2x BILT points per dollar spent at Walgreens when paying with a card in your BILT Wallet. This is and in addition to your normal rewards earning via your credit card and shopping portal. Remember: any credit card can be added to your wallet, it doesn't have to be a BILT Mastercard. You can also earn some additional points if you link your Walgreens Pharmacy account (which requires a separate consent, because, obviously.) All told, the bonus earnings are:
- 1X BILT Points on most Walgreens purchases, or
- 2X BILT Points on Walgreens-branded products, plus
- 100 BILT Points for each prescription refill, if you opt-in
Further, BILT have implemented new functionality to optimize your pre-tax Flexible Spening/Health Savings Accounts for your Walgreens purchases. BILT will analyze the purcahse, determine which items count for FSA/HSA spending and display the results with an option for you to apply your FSA/HSA funds. If you agree, BILT will credit your original form of purchase for the relevant amount and bill that same amount to your FSA/HSA. That can potentially save a lot of paperwork or aggravation trying to fully spend down those benefits each year.
If you already have a card in your BILT Wallet and don't want to particiapte in the pharmacy or FSA/HSA aspects of this offer, then all you need to do to take advantage of collaboration is use the linked card on Walgreens purchases. I've done a small test transaction of non-prescription goods and almost immediately got the confirmation for earning more BILT points. In order to opt-in to the other parts of the offer, you should go to your BILT account to opt-in and provide the needed details.
